It is not a good idea at all. Mostly because tt/tri frames have a geometry that rotates you forward over the bottom bracket so that when you are in aero position in aero bars you have an efficient pedal stroke. So if you took one of these bikes and set it up as a commuter with an upright position you would be over the bottom bracket too far and you fit would be uncomfortable and not efficient.
